Free Diabetes Management Consultation

Diabetes is a disease in which your body either can't produce insulin or can't properly use the insulin it produces.

Insulin helps regulate the amount of glucose (sugar) in the blood. Blood sugar must be carefully regulated to ensure that the body functions properly.

Too much blood sugar can cause damage to organs, blood vessels, and nerves. Your body also needs insulin in order to use sugar for energy.

Our Certified Diabetic Educator and Pharmacist, Sarah, can provide you with the education and device training tools you need to manage your diabetes and keep YOU in control of your health and wellness.

Free Naloxone Kits

You do not need a prescription or an Ontario health card to get a free Naloxone kit.

Our pharmacist will train you on how to recognize an opioid overdose and explain how to use the Naloxone kit.

Here is some information on Naloxone:

Naloxone is a drug that can temporarily reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Opioids are drugs that are prescribed by a medical practitioner to treat pain. However, opioids are also used recreationally.

Some commonly used opioids include:  morphine, heroin, oxycodone, fentanyl, codeine, and hydromorphone.

Naloxone only reverses overdoses from opioids. It will not reverse overdoses from other kinds of drugs, such as benzodiazepines or stimulants like cocaine and amphetamines.

Naloxone is considered safe for everyone, unless there is a reason to believe a person has an allergy to Naloxone

Call anytime to pick up a free Naloxone kit and get free training on how to use it in emergency situations

Pharmacogenomic Testing

Pharmacogenomic testing is an amazingly easy process that looks at specific genes and analyzes how your DNA will affect your response to certain medications.

The information gathered from your pharmacogenomic test is utilized by your family physician and pharmacist to increase the efficacy and reduce negative side effects of your medication treatment.

The result = custom medication treatments tailored to suit YOU
